Here at Chain Life Winter Haven boating safety is our #1 priority.  We partner with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 77 Polk County FL to provide FREE boat safety inspections during every one of our events as well as distributing FREE boating safety information, and the federal and Florida boating regulations.

 

We value our partnership with USCG Auxiliary Flotilla 77 and look forward to a safe 2016 on the Chain of Lakes. Boat Checks

Free Vessel Exams or “boat safety equipment checks” are conducted every second Saturday of the month at two boat launch locations in the county with plans to expand the times and locations in the future:

 

1.      Lake Shipp Park on the West side of Lake Shipp at 1649 Lake Shipp Drive, Winter Haven, FL 3880

 

2.      Lake Ariana Park at 2215 Ariana Blvd., Auburndale, FL 33823

 

Joining the Auxiliary

Polk County, have you ever considered joining the Coast Guard Auxiliary? We now have a local Flotilla based right here in Winter Haven.  A Flotilla is the basic unit of the Auxiliary and deals directly with the boating public and boating-related companies.  Why Join? Are you looking for adventure while serving your community?  If you are looking for some adventure, join our fast growing unit. Chances are the Coast Guard Auxiliary can offer you an area to serve that will enrich your life. We welcome and recognize your past experience, skills, and talents. The Coast Guard Auxiliary’s activities can generally be divided into three service areas.

Operations and Marine Safety

Mission Support

 

In addition, there are ancillary areas of activities for participation, such as: communications, public affairs, finance, training/instruction, management, etc.
